Here is a list of 25 Things that I learned about life by the age of 25

  • Take Risks. Indulging in risks makes you stronger. You can handle anything that comes your way.
  • You are never old to learn. It is the most important lesson you learned at school. Learning is a continuous process which enhances your skills to survive at your best.
  • Never quit. Whatever it may be, give it a try. Remember, success comes to those who put in their efforts. It is better to attempt and fail than regretting later why you never gave it a shot.
  • Dream big. Life is once and besides, there is no tax applied for dreaming. Aim for the moon and you could land up in the stars.
  • Music heals. Feel the immense power inherent in music. Music, in fact, plays a therapeutic role purging your morose thoughts. Plug in your headphones with your favourite playlist and take a long walk. Just see the difference.
  • Beer: Beer does not solve problems, but neither does milk. Drink lots of beer and wine too. Chillax!! Your mind demands a break.
  • Socialize: Engage with people in clubs, parties, etc. Interaction makes you a better communicator.
  • Start your own business as young as possible: Stand on your feet, be it opening a lemonade stall or working as a newspaper delivery man.
  • If you’re going to fail, fail fast and make it public: Failures in public serve as greatest lessons. However, learn to get up and show people it is no big deal.
  • Meet lots of different people. You would understand human psychology better and build in the capacity to adjust in any and every situation.
  • When life throws lemons at you, make lemonade. Life may be cruel at times, but be optimistic always. Everything happens for our own good, you just need to make the best out of everything.
  • Success does not lead to happiness. Happiness comes first to success. Once you are happy, you start feeling successful as it encourages you to do anything.
  • Many people are scared to start their own business. If you have fear of leaving your routine 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. job, then entrepreneurship is not your cup of tea. Successful entrepreneurs are those who dare to tread the path others would have even never thought of. Belief in yourself and see the miracles. Give your fears a hard blow.
  • Surround yourself with people way smarter than you. Company matters a lot. Befriending smarter people challenges your growth and gradually you tend to perform well.
  • Only those who are with you during the struggles deserve to be with you when you celebrate the successes. Never forget those who stood beside you at crucial times as pillars.
  • Pick and choose your battles carefully. Learn to make the best use of time. Be wise and bold enough to say no to things that are least important.
  • The most important asset to invest in is yourself. Do as your heart pleases. Spend on your needs, be it books or personality development classes, make yourself a better person.
  • True friends will never question why you disappeared off the face of the earth. These are the people who understand you and support you no matter what.
  • At the end it becomes difficult to leave your not so loving job when it comes to chasing your dreams.
  • A dream job does not exist. People hankering after their dream job land up nowhere. Remember the dream job has to be created by you. Realize your aptitude and work accordingly.
  • Travel as much as you can. Travelling widens your horizon. The different experiences and ideas accumulated would serve you a great deal in your life.

  • “Thank You”- Though very tiny in appearance, these two words can make the greatest difference. Never forget to thank people who helped you in some way or the other.
  • God gave us all a purpose. We all are sent to this world with a definite purpose. Recognize it before it is too late.
  • The world may seem big and scary. Often you tend to think you are an alien in this wide and mean world. However, the older you get, you realize everything is man-made. Play the role assigned to you in the celebration of the drama called life by leaving other tensions.
  • Life is not easy. In fact, it is a challenge and having the right support you overcome every difficulty.
