Apple has however joined the league of bigger smartphones by launching iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus but thin and sleek is not always a good thing! iPhone 6 Plus users are experiencing a hard time. They reported that due to its large size and thin profile, Apple’s phablet is prone to bending when it is kept in the pocket!
As per MacRumours, which is a website covering Apple-specific news, said, “a small but growing number of iPhone 6 Plus owners have reportedly bet their phones after carrying the devices in their pockets just after launch. In one instance, a new iPhone 6 Plus was bent during a day of dancing, dining and driving to a wedding.”
Although MacRumours report notes, “To prevent bending, the owners of iPhone 6 Plus owners may want to remove their iPhones from their pockets before sitting or bending.”
With a thickness of 7.1mm, the new iPhone 6 Plus is remarkably thin. In fact it is too thin for its own good, for a phablet! Slimness is one point but what adds to the problem is its aluminium body. Where the plastic body cracks, this aluminium alloy used in phones and laptops bend when put under pressure.
With skyrocketing price of this model, audience has to decide if it is really worth the price! If reports and experiences of the users are to be believed, then you may want to think twice before coughing up this amount of money!
